Dachshund, meaning badger dog, is a hunter by scent and also goes to ground. The Official AKC Standard of the Dachshund for breeding or show recognizes only two sizes, Miniature Dachshunds, 11 lbs and under at 12 months of age and the Standard Dachshund usually 16 to 32 lbs. We take great pride in our Mini Dachshund Puppies! Garlin Kennel is a breeder of longhair and smooth Miniature Dachshund located in Loganville, Ga. which is located 45 miles N.E. of Atlanta. We have bred dogs for over twenty-five years, the dachshund for twelve of those years. Actually we are not a large kennel but a small farm on 9 acres. Our doxies live with me, my husband, our adult children and a new yellow Lab. Our puppies are home raised, our dogs do not live their lives in kennels. They have the run of my home, pastures and woods. Our Dachshunds are a big part of our family, treated with love and respect, enjoying a happy healthy life with us. My goal as a responsible Dachshund breeder is continuously striving to produce the best possible quality puppy for correct type and temperament. My puppies are carefully bred, they will be healthy, beautiful and well socialized which should produce a wonderfully adjusted family companion owners can enjoy for years to come.
